Ask the Surrogacy Experts

Hey Bill… When are your going to update your “Surrogacy Cost Guide”?

Hello Everyone.

I just released the updated 2020 “Cost of Surrogacy Guide”. The Guide includes multiple articles to help couples manage the exorbitant and confusing expenses related to gestational surrogacy.

The Guide includes multiple articles to help couples manage the exorbitant and confusing expenses related to gestational surrogacy. Topics include:

  • • Creating a realistic budget for a surrogacy journey
  • • Understanding the actual costs of surrogacy overseas
  • • Hiring and compensating a surrogate mother
  • • US health insurance options: calculating the costs
  • • Independent surrogacy vs agency programs
  • • Understanding success rates & “baby guarantee” programs
  • • Financing options for couples considering a surrogacy journey

The second question for every couple that contacts me is: “How much dies surrogacy cost?” Well, y answers is that programs run from expensive to ridiculously expensive. But luckily, there are ways to manage your costs so that you can plan accordingly. There are even affordable options that that won’t leave your new family buried in debt.

Sensible’s Surrogacy Cost Guide is our way of educating would-be parents on how to plan a surrogacy journey that is both affordable and manageable.

Those who regularly read this blog know that I’m a surrogacy dad myself. In fact most of my team are Surrogacy parents (or uncles). We’ve all been through this personally. The labor of love is to help other couples along the path that we’ve pioneered. There are two big parts to that: finding programs that are reliable, and finding programs that are affordable.

The days of cheap surrogacy in India are long past, but families are being formed every day in countries with solid legal frameworks that support both parents and surrogates. Whether in California or Kiev, couples can find an affordable option with just a little guidance.

Check out the Cost Guide. I hope it helps.
— Bill
